Pets

   The world of the Age of Titans let us have a trustworthy ally and that is our pets. These pets have a wide array of attacking and supportive skill. Yes, for the children of Godswar, our pets here can attack. The first pet we will have is a Pazuzu which we'll obtain for free.

CLEANSING A PET STONE

   To obtain a pet you need a pet stone to cleanse, pet stones can be obtained from quests, events and from the monsters you kill. Almost, if not every,  mob monsters there is you can obtain a pet stone from them. You have two options on purifying a pet stone; purifying it without a Holy Water or Purifying it with Holy water which will yield a pet with better stats and grade.

Mall pets and Event pets have better base stats compared to pet you can get from Pet Stones drop.

PET GRADE

Like our equipments our pets also have grades:

Regular (0%)
Good (5%)
Superior (10%)
Excellent (15%)
Perfect (25%)
Legendary (35%)
Divine (50%)

the better the grade the better additional attribute bonus the pet will get. The grade bonus will affect all the the base attributes of your pet. If you have an Excellent pet your pet will have bonus values of 15% of its base stats.

These are the stats of a Perfect pet, the bonus value is 25% of the base stats.

PET ATTRIBUTES

VITALITY = Health Points
SPIRIT = Mana Points
STRENGTH = Damage
INTELLIGENCE= Magical Damage
AGILITY = Critical Percentage

   The main attribute of a pet is determined by the type of pet you have. INT pets have Intelligence as their main attribute, STR pets have Strength as there main attribute, AGI pet have Agility for the main attribute. You can view what type of pet it is by looking at the image of the pet at the Pet Interface (X).

PET SKILLS

   There are two general types of pet skills; Attack and Support. From the two general pet types there's the active skills and the passive skills. Support skills are generally passive and does not involve the consumption of the pet's MP. There are also pet attack skills that are passive

Opening Pet Skill Slots

   The pet skills slots can be found right underneath the image of your pet. When you first cleanse a pet stone you will randomly get pet skills depending on the "species" of pet you have but you will get a total of 4 pet skills slot open. Sometimes you will get empty slots colored blue or green. Green slots are for attack type pet skills while blue slots are for support type skills.

The Skill Slots (bottom part) with an empty slot for an attack skill.

   To unlock a pet skill slot you need Refined Souls, if you hover your mouse to a locked skill slot you will have an idea on the total number of refined souls or Essence needed for you to unlock it.

   There are two ways of obtaining Refined Souls; buying from other players or obtaining them yourself. To have them for yourself you need Pet Skill Tomes or simply Pet Skill Books and degrade them. The process will cause you to loose the pet skill book but you will get a number of Refined Souls depending on the level and rarity of pet skill book.

   To degrade a pet skill book simply Click Degrade the put the pet skill book you want to degrade to one of the slots and degrade.

ENHANCING A PET

   You can enhance a pet giving additional points to its stats. To do this you'll need an Enhance Rune, you will get a total of four  Enhance Rune for free during the early parts of the game.

Enhancement Level +0, right below the Pet Level.

   To enhance your pet of choice just open the pet interface by clicking "X", choose its name among your list of pets then click the enhance button at the bottom part of the Pet interface. Remember you must have the enhance runes on your bag to enhance your pet.

Enhancing a Pet will give bonus values to all of your pet's base stats, very much like a grade increase.

Note: The more you enhance your pet the bigger the chance that the enhancement will fail.This will take your pet a step back from enhancement so if you fail on enhancing your pet to level 6 your pet will go back to level 4 from level 5.

PURIFYING A PET

   If you happen to cleanse a pet with a low grade for example a Regular pet, you can purify it again by using Holy Water to get a better grade. The grade you will get is random so there is no telling what you'll get. I tried this on a Regular Mermaid and got a Legendary Mermaid on my third try on purification. There will be a system announcement if you purified a pet of an Excellent grade or higher. This will especially helpful if you have a rare pet like a Tut's Imposter (mine from Regular to Perfect) or a mall pets like a Monsiour Miao.

  To purify a pet just make sure you have a Holy Water on your bag the open the Pet Interface (X), select the pet you want to purify from your list of pets then click the Purify button at the bottom part of your pet interface.

On the Purify tab you will have an option to cleanse the present skills of your pet, this will delete all of the skills learned by your pet and leave you with empty pet skill slots.

TRAINING A PET

   Training a pet will help it on getting EXP to level up without partaking on battles. This works great if you will be offline for a day or so. Training a pet will cost you a small amount of cash and you can train up to three pets at the same time.

A Silver Engraving. Use it to increase Exp during training.

  To train a pet simply open the Pet Interface (X) then select the pet you want to train from your pet list then click the Train button right on the bottom part of the Pet Interface. Click the drop down list and choose the amount of time you want to train the pet, the amount of EXP you will gain is dependent on the number of hours you will train the pet. You also have the option to use Engravings (Silver, Gold, etc.) to increase the efficiency or the EXP that your pet will gain during the course of training. You can get these from other players, from Exquisite Treasure boxes or from the NPC responsible for the pets (Heidrun). To use an engraving just drag it to the lot right beside the drop down list.

PUTTING A PET TO WORK

  By putting a pet to work your pet will get Energy which you can convert to bonus values to be added to you added pet stats.

The green values are the bonus your pet will get from using the energy.

     To put you pet to work all you need to do is choose the pet you want to work from your list of pets then click the Work button at the bottom part of the Pet Interface. On the pet interface you will see a drop down list where you can choose the span of time you want your to put your pet to work and below that is the estimated energy your pet will get from that span of time. Putting your pet to work will cost you cash and you will also have the option to add bells (silver, gold, etc) to increase the efficiency or the energy your pet will gain from working. To use a bell just drag it to the empty slot right besides the drop down list.

Note: Working will not increase your pet's level since it will gain Energy and not Exp.

Note: To use the energy gained from working just click the "use" button (refer to the image at the top) then choose the attribute you want to increase. The energy needed to increase 1 point is not always equals to 1 though. The amount needed to increase 1 point will increase exponentially meaning at first it will only 5 energy to increase an attribute by one point then if you increase +10 in an attribute when you try to increase it to +11 you will need 6 energy and to increase it to +21 you will need 7 energy.

+1 to + 10 = 5 energy each point
+11 to +21 = 6 energy each point
+31 to +40 = 7 energy each point

and so on.
